Thought For The Day

Watched a bit of the MAMA's performance today.
Saw the insane amount of fans present and how they went hysterical at the sight of their idols.

Im sure if you watch entertainment news often, you would see how happy and how lucky the fans felt when the idols made small gestures towards them. e.g. : wave, smile, hands shaking.

I know the idols themselves appreciate all these love from their fans equally. At least, most of them.
There's still some snobby artists that just wanna make money out of their fans.

But all these left me thinking..
'Shouldn't the idols love their fans more than the fans love them?'

Okay, maybe some of them do. I don't know.

What Im trying to point out is that the idols should appreciate their fans more, and not the other way round.
Fans should be the biggest part of the idols lives, and not the other way round.

Why do I say this?
Well, if you think bout it.
Fans can live perfectly fine without their idols, but an idol is no longer an idol without their fans.
They lost their sole source of income.

So what if an idol has a good manager, a great company, great producers..
all of these don't matter if they don't have fans, people that appreciates them.
they will never be famous.

But well, without an idol to idolise.. I.. m still fine.
Maybe i lose my source of entertainment.. but i doubt that i would be unhappy because they don't exist.
How is it possible that i feel unhappy of something that doesn't exist?
If you never possess it, you can't lose it, no lose.. no sad. XD

Now now, I'm not trying to say all these things are bad or anything.
Many things work like this in this world.
Branded items are worthless if there's no people to buy it.
That's just how the world works.

This idol-fans relationship is good. It's mutualism.

What i don't agree with is how some fans gets emotionally dependent on their idols.
When the idols are sad, their sad.
When the idols are sick, their sad.
sad to the extent they can't get on with their daily lives. D;

hey, there are ppl like this okay. they spend a large sum of money just to support their idols.
Even though they may be poor.
They sacrifice their time with their family, their true love ones just to spend time with their 'imaginary' love ones, aka idols through an 'imaginary' medium, aka internet.
They get really really angry when others bash their idols.
If you actually read comments fans leave on videos, forum and etc.
You would know how absurd they may be.
To the point you would wonder, 'Are they for real??'
All these for someone you don't personally know, and they definitely don't specifically know you????
Get a life.

Gosh, at least not get overboard. You need to know your priorities in life.
This idol thing, is definitely NOT something to priorities in life. =____=
This relationship is good until it becomes a bad influence.

If your idol portrays a good personality, and you learn that goodness from him. That's fine.
If your idol does charitable work, and you do that too. That's great.
If your idol asks you to study hard and motivates you to get on with life. That's awesome.

BUT,
If your idol has a concert in country A, B, C, D, and you go to all of them. That's idiotic.
(You don't see your idols attending your graduation ceremony, do you?)
If your idol is the brand ambassador of A, and you buy all of their products. That's dumb.
If you cry just cause your idol didn't win an award.. That's.. =_____= #facepalm

Idols are just people like you and me.
Nothing more, nothing less. (albeit a little more influential)

Anything, absolutely anything that starts to dominate your mind, thinking and emotions.
An obsession.
Is not good for you.
Be it idols, friends, items, job.. etc

You should be the master of your mind.

tata.
